Repeat Prescriptions

Your doctor may arrange for you to receive your medication on repeat prescription. We require at least 48 hours notice so please do not wait until you have run out before requesting more.

You can order your repeat items online via Patient Access or the NHS App.

Other Ways to Order

Your prescription slip will also have a counterfoil listing your medication which you can use to order. Please tick the item(s) you need and bring or send the counterfoil to the surgery. If you provide a stamped addressed envelope your prescription will be posted back to you.

You can also fax your request in writing to the number on the front cover. Please include your name, address and date of birth.

We cannot accept telephone requests for repeat prescriptions as this can lead to mistakes.

For your safety it is important to be seen regularly if you are requesting medicines for certain conditions. If you have not been seen for review, your prescription request may be refused.

Please ensure that all medicines are kept out of the reach of children. Unused medicines should be returned to the chemist.

Electronic Prescribing Service

This practice is set up for the electronic prescription service.

This means that for most patients we can send your prescription to your chosen chemist directly saving you having to come down to the surgery.

To get your prescription sent to your chosen pharmacy you will have to ask reception to sign up.
