The surgery offers specialised clinics or nurses expert in the following areas:
Asthma
Baby immunisations
COPD
Cytology (cervical smears)
Diabetes
Hypertension
Appointments can be made via reception or at your GP’s recommendation.
Baby/Toddler Checks
Milestone development checks are carried out either at the surgery or by the Health Visitors. Details can be found in your child’s red book or from the Health Visitors themselves. A full programme of immunisation is encouraged.
Cervical Smear Screening
Smear tests are strongly recommended at regular intervals for women aged 25-64. You will receive a call letter automatically and can make an appointment at reception.
Flu and Pneumonia Immunisation
Our practice nurses run flu clinics starting in autumn each year. Injections are recommended for those over 65 or with certain chronic medical conditions. If appropriate you may also be offered a pneumonia vaccination.
Minor Surgery
We have the facilities to perform certain minor surgical procedures. Your GP will make arrangements where indicated.
Well Woman/Family Planning
Well woman checks and family planning advice is available as required. Simply make an appointment with the GP of your choice.
