Due to staff training the surgery will be closed from 12.30pm on Wednesday 19th June 2019. If you need urgent treatment during these hours ring NHS 111 free from a land line or mobile. If its an emergency please dial 999.
Surgery will re-open as normal Thursday 20th June 8:00 AM.
The surgery telephones are in operation from Monday to Friday 8.00am-12.30pm and 2.00pm-6.30pm
Surgeries start from 8.50am Monday to Friday.
We offer a vast range of appointment, with new and improved booking methods. This includes Online, MyGP, DoctorLink and via telephone.
Patients are seen by appointment or triage over the phone.
We book same day appointments via the MyGp app or you can book up to 4 weeks in advance.
Please make it clear if your problem requires urgent attention, this can be done by explaining to our reception team or writing in the description when booking online using the MyGP application.
If you wish to speak to your doctor for advice, please ring in the morning. In most circumstances reception will take brief details and the doctor will call you back. please note that calls may come from a private number.
If possible please try to telephone reception before 10am if you require a home visit.
A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.
House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.
Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.
You do not require a doctor's sickness certificate for any illness lasting seven days or less. Your employer may however require you to complete a self-certification form (SC2) which is available from your employer or on the HMRC website.
If you are sick for more than seven days, your employer can ask you to give them some form of medical evidence to support payment of SSP (statutory sick pay).
It is up to your employer to decide whether you are incapable of work. A medical certificate, now called a 'Statement of Fitness for Work’ (see below) from your doctor is strong evidence that you are sick and would normally be accepted, unless there is evidence to prove otherwise.
You could also provide evidence from someone who is not a medical practitioner, e.g. a dentist. Your employer will decide whether or not this evidence is acceptable. If your employer has any doubts, they may still ask for a medical certificate from your GP.
The 'fit note' was introduced on 6 April 2010. With your employer's support, the note will help you return to work sooner by providing more information about the effects of your illness or injury.

Our surgery is an approved training practice and we usually have a registrar assisting us whilst s/he gains experience in general practice. These doctors are fully qualified and are transferring from hospital to general practice.
There may also be medical students from Kings College attached to our practice. General practice is an essential part of their training and, with your permission, you may be asked to see them when consulting your doctor. There is absolutely no obligation to do so.
